Attorney General’s Department briefing on new Federal Lobbying Code of Conduct
Senior officials from the Federal Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) were the special guests at an APGRA briefing about the updated Lobbying Code of Conduct late last month.
The online briefing attracted more than 20 participants from across the country.
The officials provided a presentation about the recent changes made to the Code of Conduct, which was followed by a question-and-answer session.
There was a discussion on how the Code of Conduct will be interpreted and why there isn’t greater consistency between the Federal Code and other codes of conduct for lobbyists which apply in other jurisdictions across Australia.
On behalf of members, the APGRA maintains regular contact with officials from the Department.
